Which still might reduce your end cost or at the very least lesson the use of bondo fillers that would need to be used if it went straight to a body shop.
Over the past year being located in with a bodyshop which is a Progressive Insurance preferred shop. I personally witnessed countless jobs that could have been done completely with Paintless Dent Removal or by a combination of Paintless Dent Repair and then a small scratch that happened from the accident just touched up or panels that could have been fixed by way of Paintless Repair and then just painting the scratches which would have eliminated in most cases all bondo fillers that was used. Over a year I tried to get Progressive Insurance to utilize my services but the estimators & supervisors all blew me off and choose not to take advantage of a more environmentally friendly repair even though I was subleasing space from a DRP shop. What kills me in this day and age of companies needing to reduce our carbon foot print. Both companies have failed drastically in doing not only their part to protect the environment. They both have chosen to not lookout for customer best interest by greatly reducing the diminished value of not only their customers cars but the cars their insured had damaged.
